In a world increasingly dominated by computers, it is not surprising
that the latest advancement in the art world revolves around the
digital method used to reproduce art images.
The term "giclee
print" identifies a significant elevation in printmaking
technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans
of original artwork and prints are created using latest technology
ink jet printers capable of producing incredibly detail and color
reproduction. In this process, a fine stream of archival quality
ink - millions of droplets per second - is sprayed onto various
substrates including canvas and acid free fine art paper. The
end product of this process is a reproduction with superior accuracy
and longevity.

Mark's" by
Charles Harrington
|
|
Architecture has always been popular subject matter for paintings.
Its design and construction has been a vehicle through which man
has given expression to his finest creative energies. None of these

cathedrals. St. Mark's Cathedral
in Venice, Italy is the subject of this painting.
This painting won a
Silver Metal at the
National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylics 2005 exhibition.

"Wilderness Church" by
Charles Harrington
|
|
| With the tourist season
over and the snow covering the paved pathways, this scene at Silver
Dollar City evokes images of generations past when life was much quieter
and much simpler. The rail fences and the logs used in the construction
of this "Wilderness Church" were prepared with hand
tools typical of the late 19th century. |

"Stables" by
Charles Harrington |
|
Once the home
of popular riding stables, this old barn has long been an icon to
residents of Bella Vista Village, AR. Like many such structures
it recently fell victim to progress. Replaced by a new elementary
school, only nostalgic memories remain to remind us of it's place
in the hearts and history of this village.

Another view
of of the riding stables at Bella Vista Village, AR:
Overgrown with weeds and suffering from neglect, this once thriving
business is now only a hint of the role it played in the community.
This painting was done only weeks before the barn was demolished
to make room for new construction.

Float".
